How to Bill a PlayStation Gaming Cafe (Per Hour or Per Controller)

A simple guide to billing a PS5/PlayStation gaming cafe in India — per-hour vs per-controller pricing, snacks, and avoiding revenue leaks with the right app.

A PlayStation lounge looks simple to run — until a busy Saturday, when four stations are full, controllers are swapping between players, and someone’s also ordered snacks. Bill that by memory and you will lose money. Here’s how to bill a PS cafe cleanly.

Pick your pricing model

There are two sensible ways to charge for console play:

1. Per hour (or per minute). A flat rate for the station — say ₹120/hour for a PS5 — billed by the time played. Simple and predictable for customers.

2. Per hour + per controller. The same station rate, plus a small charge for each extra controller in use (e.g. +₹40/hour for a second pad). This is fairer when two or four people share one console, and it’s how most successful PS lounges price.

Rule of thumb: single-player casual → per hour is fine. Multiplayer (FIFA/Tekken nights) → per hour plus per controller, so a 2-player session earns more than a solo one.

Don’t forget the snacks

Cold drinks, chips and quick food often carry better margins than screen time. Always add them to the same session bill so nothing walks out untracked — and so you can see how much of your revenue is F&B.

The manual method leaks money

Tracking start times on paper across four stations, remembering who added a controller, and totalling snacks at checkout is where revenue quietly disappears — a forgotten 30 minutes here, an untracked second controller there. Over a month it’s real money.

Let the app do it

With CueBill you:

  1. Tap to start a station — the timer runs with a live total.
  2. Add controllers — a per-controller charge is applied automatically.
  3. Add snacks to the session as they’re ordered.
  4. Close the bill — cash, UPI or Khata — and it’s logged in your reports.

No mental maths, no leaks, and end-of-shift totals you can trust. It runs on the Android phone you already own.
